    Hello Kai,
    to center featured image you can simply add this CSS codes to your site via customizer-> additional css

    .featured-image img {
        margin: 0 auto;
    }

    Prefered image dimension is with 1200px width and height will be adjusted automatically.

    I tried that approach, but I still see the image misaligned. here is an example. can you help me with this, please?

    It works, please try adding those CSS code to your site via customizer.

    .featured-image img {
        margin: 0 auto;
    }

    I see that it works when I add it to the customizer. but for some reason, it’s not working if I add it to the child themes CSS. thanks

    I think the image which is to be uploaded, it is needed a measurement and characters such as a resolution and size
